Seattle Great Wheel tourist-lighthouse gag

The Seattle Great Wheel opened on Pier 57 along the downtown waterfront in 2012 and is one of the tallest Ferris wheels on the West Coast. Its illuminated presence on the pier has made it a popular spot for tourist photos and nighttime views of Elliott Bay and the city. Locals often jokingly call it a 'lighthouse for tourists' because of how many visitors congregate there for waterfront selfies.
