Robert Indiana's LOVE sculpture at LOVE Park

Robert Indiana's large LOVE sculpture was installed at John F. Kennedy Plaza (commonly called LOVE Park) in 1976 and quickly became an iconic example of American pop art. The sculpture features the stacked letters L and O over V and E with a tilted O; the plaza and sculpture have been widely used in photographs and city branding. The sculpture was removed during park renovations in 2016 and reinstalled at the plaza's entrance area in 2018.
