Magnolia Lane Plantation

Magnolia Lane Plantation, also known as Fortier Plantation, is a historic site located on the banks of the Mississippi River in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. Established in 1784 by Edward Fortier during the Spanish colonial era, the plantation underwent a name change after its purchase in 1867. The plantation house and its surrounding 13.25 acres were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. This picturesque location has also served as a backdrop for numerous major motion picture productions in the New Orleans area, making it a fascinating destination for both tourists and researchers interested in Louisiana's rich history and cinematic heritage.
