American Bandstand - originated at WFIL-TV in Philadelphia

American Bandstand began as a local television program in Philadelphia on WFIL-TV in 1952; Dick Clark became its host in 1956. The show was broadcast from the WFIL studios at 46th and Market before relocating to Los Angeles in 1964 as it moved toward national syndication.
