Le QuecumBar

Le QuecumBar was a renowned music venue and brasserie located in Battersea, London, celebrated for its dedication to Gypsy Swing and the music of Django Reinhardt. Originally opened in 1841 as The Woodman, it became a vibrant hub for live music, hosting notable performances by artists like Fapy Lafertin and even attracting Hollywood star Johnny Depp for research on his film character. After 19 years of operation, the venue closed in April 2022 due to financial challenges exacerbated by rising rents and the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Le QuecumBar operated an independent record label, Le Q Records, which featured live recordings from the venue, including contributions from renowned musicians like Hank Marvin and recordings that appeared in films such as Woody Allen's Vicki Cristina Barcelona.
