New York Botanical Garden

The New York Botanical Garden was founded in 1891 and occupies approximately 250 acres in the Bronx. The institution's Enid A. Haupt Conservatory is a large, early-20th-century Victorian-style glasshouse that displays significant living plant collections and seasonal exhibitions. The garden also houses the LuEsther T. Mertz Library, a major research library for botanical and horticultural scholarship. NYBG serves as a center for plant research, public education, and horticultural display.
