Ezra Wood–Levi Warner Place

The Ezra Wood–Levi Warner Place, located at 165 Depot Road in Westminster, Massachusetts, is a historic house dating back to 1759, making it one of the town's oldest structures. Originally built by Nathaniel Merrill, the house has served various roles throughout its history, including a hotel, stagecoach stop, post office, and a station on the Underground Railroad, aiding fugitive slaves. The main block of the house features a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame design with a gabled roof and retains significant original interior finishes. The property was owned by notable local figures, including Ezra Wood, an early abolitionist, and Rev. Levi Warner, whose family maintained the house into the 20th century. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and underwent restoration in the 1980s, preserving its historical significance.
