Transamerica Pyramid

Designed by architect William Pereira and completed in 1972, the Transamerica Pyramid is a distinctive, pyramid-shaped skyscraper in San Francisco's Financial District. For decades it served as a visual symbol of the city and a headquarters address associated with the Transamerica Corporation. Its tapered form and spire make it one of the most recognizable elements of the San Francisco skyline.
