Clearview (Falmouth, Virginia)

Clearview is a historic home in Falmouth, Virginia, built around 1749. This two-story, five-bay frame dwelling features a hipped roof, exterior end chimneys, and a distinctive Tuscan order front porch. Notably, it served as an artillery position for the Union army during the Battle of Fredericksburg in December 1862. The property was expanded with a wing in 1918-1919 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, making it a significant site within the Falmouth Historic District.
