Arrest and arraignment of Harvey Weinstein

On May 25, 2018, Harvey Weinstein was arrested by New York authorities on charges including rape and other sexual offenses following allegations by multiple women. He was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court and released on bail pending trial. Weinstein was later convicted in February 2020 in New York State court of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and third-degree rape and was sentenced in March 2020.
