Blue House, Frome

The Blue House in Frome, Somerset, is a historic Grade I listed building constructed in 1726. Originally serving as the Bluecoat School and Almshouses, it provided housing for 20 widows and education for 20 boys. The building features two notable statues, 'Billy Ball' and 'Nancy Guy', reflecting its dual purpose. After ceasing its educational role in 1921, it was repurposed to offer studio and one-bedroom flats for elderly residents, making it a unique blend of history and community living.
