Hotel del Coronado - the Kate Morgan mystery

In 1892 Kate Morgan was found dead at the Hotel del Coronado while staying there as a guest; contemporary investigators and newspapers debated whether her death was suicide or homicide. The circumstances of her death were never conclusively resolved, and the incident generated extensive local press coverage at the time. The unresolved nature of Morgan's death has become a persistent item of crime lore associated with the hotel and is frequently mentioned on its histories and ghost tours.
