Horbury Hunt Hall

Horbury Hunt Hall, located in The Hill suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales, is a heritage-listed church hall designed by the notable architect John Horbury Hunt and constructed in 1878. Initially serving as a pro-Cathedral while the Christ Church Cathedral was being built, it played a crucial role in the Anglican community for 18 years. The hall showcases a blend of Hunt's architectural style and late Victorian details, making it a significant example of cultural history in the region. It is recognized for its historical connections to influential figures such as Hunt and Frederick B. Menkens, and it remains an important site for both the Anglican Diocese and Newcastle Grammar School.
