Wilds Hall

Wilds Hall, located in Springville, South Carolina, is a historic house built around 1839 and expanded in 1850. This 2+1⁄2-story residence features a weatherboard exterior and a gabled roof, resting on a low stuccoed brick pier foundation. The property includes four outbuildings and has been home to four generations of the Wilds family over 130 years. Notably, Peter Wilds, the original owner, was a wealthy planter with 111 slaves in 1860. Wilds Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Southern history and architecture.
