Ridge viewpoints in Alum Rock Park

Alum Rock Park in East San José contains steep canyons and ridgelines with hiking trails that rise above the valley floor. Trails such as parts of the South Rim and Penitencia Creek routes lead to informal overlooks that provide panoramic views of the Santa Clara Valley and downtown San José on clear days. These elevated viewpoints are less visited than downtown observation spots and are accessible from the park's main trailheads.
