Coit Tower (Telegraph Hill viewpoint)
By Seeker
Coit Tower, completed in 1933 with funding from Lillie Hitchcock Coit, is a 210-foot Art Deco tower on Telegraph Hill that contains New Deal-era murals in its interior. The tower’s plaza and observation deck provide panoramic views of the city, San Francisco Bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge; those vistas are frequently photographed and shared on social media. The structure is managed by the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and is a documented landmark in city guides and tourist resources.
