Delaware Flats

Delaware Flats is a historic apartment building in Indianapolis, Indiana, constructed in 1887. This three-story structure showcases Classical Revival architecture with its painted brick and limestone facade. The first floor features commercial storefronts framed in cast iron, while the upper levels are adorned with elegant two-story blank arches and Corinthian pilasters. Recognized for its historical significance, Delaware Flats was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and is situated within the Washington Street-Monument Circle Historic District, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in architectural history.
