Transamerica Pyramid and architect William Pereira

The Transamerica Pyramid was designed by architect William Pereira and completed in 1972; Pereira served as the building's principal architect. Upon completion it became San Francisco's tallest building and an immediately recognizable part of the skyline. The Pyramid remained the city's tallest structure until the completion of Salesforce Tower in 2018.
