Equitable Building (Baltimore)

The Equitable Building, located at 10 North Calvert Street in downtown Baltimore, is a historic mixed-use skyscraper that was constructed between 1891 and 1893. As Baltimore's first skyscraper and the oldest building in Monument Square, it features Italian Renaissance Revival architecture designed by notable architects Charles L. Carson and Joseph Evans Sperry. Originally serving as an office building with 328 offices, it was rebuilt after the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904 and underwent a major renovation in 2015, transforming into a mixed-use space with 180 rental apartments and retail areas. This iconic structure reflects Baltimore's architectural heritage and offers a glimpse into the city's history.
