Manley Hall, Staffordshire

Manley Hall, also known as Thickbroom Hall, was a stunning Tudor-style country house built in 1833 for John Shawe Manley in Weeford, near Lichfield. Designed by architect Thomas Trubshaw, the estate featured a watch tower and intricate architectural details. Although the majority of the hall was demolished around 1957 due to wood rot, visitors can still explore the expansive 1200-acre estate, which includes an open lawn where the house once stood and the picturesque Manley Wood. Future plans aim to transform the service wing and stable block into residential homes, making it a site of historical interest for tourists and researchers alike.
