444 East 58th Street is a historic six-story residential building located in the Sutton Place neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Completed in 1901 and designed in the Beaux-Arts style by architect George F. Pelham, it originally served as a middle-class walk-up rental. The building features a richly ornamented façade with a rusticated base and a prominent cornice. Over the years, it has housed notable residents, including author Crockett Johnson and cancer treatment pioneer Ulrich K. Henschke. The building transitioned to a cooperative in 1984 and has retained its architectural charm while reflecting the evolving demographics of the area.
