White Rock Lake Park

White Rock Lake was created in 1911 as a municipal reservoir and today is a popular recreational area offering boating, sailing, and birdwatching. The park features a paved perimeter trail of approximately 9.33 miles that is widely used by runners, walkers, and cyclists. The lake and surrounding parkland provide habitat for migrating and resident bird species and are managed as part of Dallas Parks and Recreation. The lakeshore is also the site of community events and paddling programs.
