Smith and Weller Building

The Smith and Weller Building, also known as the Knights of Pythias Hall, was a historic structure located in New London, Iowa. Built in the Italianate style before 1879, it served various purposes over the years, including a hardware store and a lodge for the Knights of Pythias. The building was notable for its simple brick-patterned arches and was a significant part of the local community until its demolition in 2020. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003, highlighting its historical importance.
