Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

The 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign was designed by Betty Willis and installed in 1959 at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. The sign sits on the median of Las Vegas Boulevard South and is maintained as a widely photographed roadside landmark visited by tourists and residents. Its distinctive midcentury 'Googie' design has become an iconic symbol frequently reproduced in media and merchandise.
