Moulin Rouge Hotel & Casino (historic site)

The Moulin Rouge opened in 1955 and is widely noted as Las Vegas's first racially integrated hotel-casino, booking interracial shows and serving Black and white patrons. The original building at 900 W Bonanza Rd remains a locally recognized historic site and has been the subject of preservation and redevelopment efforts. Its brief original operation and later closures make its history a notable chapter in the city's civil-rights and entertainment history.
