The Cruise Room (Brown Palace Hotel)

The Cruise Room is an Art Deco bar in the Brown Palace Hotel that opened on December 5, 1933-the day Prohibition was repealed-and has operated continuously since then. Its interior was modeled after the first-class lounge of the ocean liner SS Normandie and features a long marble bar and original Deco detailing. The Cruise Room is widely cited in Denver history as the city's landmark post‑Prohibition cocktail lounge.
