Texas State Cemetery – notable interments

The Texas State Cemetery in Austin serves as the official burial ground for many notable Texans and contains the graves of former Governor Ann Richards and U.S. Representative Barbara Jordan. The cemetery also holds the remains of numerous Texas politicians, judges, and veterans and is managed as a historic site. It is open to the public and features memorials, grave markers, and interpretive signage documenting those interred.
