Independence Hall - site of Declaration and Constitution

Independence Hall is the building where the Second Continental Congress debated and approved the Declaration of Independence and where the Constitutional Convention deliberated and signed the United States Constitution in 1787. The structure was originally built as the Pennsylvania State House and later became the central site of early U.S. national government activity. Independence Hall is part of Independence National Historical Park and is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
