Old South Meeting House (Colonial meeting house)

Built in 1729, the Old South Meeting House is a surviving example of a large colonial New England meeting house and was the largest building in colonial Boston. It served as the organizing site for public meetings that culminated in the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 1773. The structure now operates as a museum interpreting its role in colonial and revolutionary public life.
