Wanamaker Building and the Wanamaker Organ

The Wanamaker Building, opened as John Wanamaker's department store and now Macy's Center City, contains the Wanamaker Organ, which is routinely described as the largest operational pipe organ in the world with over 28,000 pipes. The building's central Grand Court features the bronze Wanamaker Eagle statue, a longtime popular meeting spot. The organ and Grand Court have hosted regular concerts and holiday light displays since the early 20th century.
