The Statler (midcentury hotel rehabilitation)

The Statler opened in 1956 as a landmark midcentury hotel, later closed, and was thoroughly restored and reopened in 2019 as The Statler, a Curio Collection by Hilton. The rehabilitation preserved the building's modernist exterior and several historic interior elements while converting portions to hotel rooms, event spaces, and retail. The project is frequently cited as a prominent example of downtown Dallas historic preservation and adaptive reuse.
