Portland Packing Company Factory

The Portland Packing Company Factory, located at 14–26 York Street in Portland, Maine, is a historic building recognized for its significance in the vegetable canning industry. Established in 1884, it was the largest of its kind in Maine until 1927. The factory features a distinctive two-story brick structure with a unique parallelogram shape and a fully exposed third floor due to the sloping lot. After years of neglect, it underwent renovation in 1995-96 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
