Keim Homestead

The Keim Homestead is a historic farm located in Pike Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, built in 1753 for Jacob Keim and his wife Magdalena. This two and a half story limestone structure showcases early German construction features, including original woodwork and a unique second floor Chevron door. The house's design reflects a stove-room layout, with a central fireplace and multiple windows for natural light. Notably, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 2016, highlighting its significance in German colonial architecture. Visitors can also see the Hartman Cider Press, relocated to the homestead in 1975, adding to the site's historical value.
