Park Street Church

Park Street Church, completed in 1809 at the foot of Boston Common, is an evangelical Congregational church noted for its 217-foot steeple which long served as a visible neighborhood and maritime landmark. The church occupies a prominent position on Park Street and has hosted sermons, public addresses, and social-justice activities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Its location and architecture make it a recognizable Beacon Hill landmark and common stop on historic walking routes.
