Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge - Prehistoric Archaeological Sites

The Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge encompasses documented archaeological sites within its 3,621 acres, including prehistoric campsites and artifact scatters. Archaeological surveys and collections from the refuge have recovered stone tools and other artifacts that indicate Native American use of the landscape across prehistoric periods. The refuge manages and monitors these cultural resources as part of its land stewardship and interpretation programs.
