Casa Jaen I

Casa Jaen I, also known as the Don Hilarion Esquivel House, is a historic house museum located in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Bagac, Bataan, originally built in the 1900s in Jaen, Nueva Ecija. This heritage site served as a significant family home and was the venue for the homecoming of Emmanuel Frias Esquivel, who studied in the United States. The house features unique architectural elements such as stone flooring on the ground floor, wooden planks on the second floor, and large glass panel windows. It won the House Beautiful Award in 1917, highlighting its historical and cultural importance. Visitors can observe bullet holes in the walls, remnants of its storied past, and admire the intricate design of the stairs and decorative wooden panels that enhance air circulation throughout the home.
