Gay Liberation Monument (George Segal)

George Segal's Gay Liberation Monument is a painted bronze sculpture group installed in Christopher Park in 1992. The work depicts two same-sex couples seated together and was dedicated as a public memorial to the gay rights movement. It sits adjacent to the Stonewall Inn and has been part of the area's recognition as a site of LGBTQ history.
