Green Mansion is a historic building in Newark, Delaware, originally constructed around 1882 as a two-story residence. This unique three-story brick structure features a striking green serpentine facade and ornate two-tiered porches. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. In recent years, plans to develop a seven-story Hyatt Place hotel on the site have sparked controversy, leading to the demolition of the rear of the mansion while preserving the front for incorporation into the new hotel.
