Folger Shakespeare Library - premier Shakespeare collection and performance space

The Folger Shakespeare Library, opened in 1932, houses the world’s largest collection of Shakespeare materials and related Renaissance works for research and exhibition. The institution includes a reading room for scholars, an Elizabethan-style theater that presents performances, and rotating exhibitions drawn from its rare-book holdings.
