Bretton Hall (Manhattan)

Bretton Hall is a historic twelve-story residential building located at 2350 Broadway on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. Originally completed in 1903 as the Hotel Bretton Hall, it was once the largest hotel uptown and featured fireproof construction, electric facilities, and multiple elevators. Designed by architect Harry B. Mulliken, the building showcases Beaux Arts architecture with ornamental balconies and a distinctive facade. Over the years, it has transitioned from a hotel to a residential building with 461 rental apartments. Notably, in the early 1980s, it provided affordable housing for artists, fostering cultural activities within its walls.
