S. H. Barnicoat Monuments

The S. H. Barnicoat Monuments, located in Quincy, Massachusetts, was a historic granite workshop established in the 1890s. It featured a remarkable 90-foot tall derrick used for moving granite, making it a significant site in the history of granite production. Recognized for its historical value, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. Unfortunately, the original workshop has been demolished and replaced by modern establishments, but it remains a point of interest for those exploring Quincy’s industrial heritage.
