Humphrey Pratt Tavern

The Humphrey Pratt Tavern, located at 287 Main Street in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, is a historic house built in 1785 that served as a tavern and stagecoach stop. It was associated with the prominent Pratt family and is notable for its Greek Revival architecture and central hall plan. The tavern was a key meeting place in the 18th and 19th centuries, situated on the main route between Boston and New York City. It features a ballroom where the Marquis de Lafayette is said to have danced. The tavern was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
