American Legion Hut (Hampton, South Carolina)

The American Legion Hut, built in 1933, is a historic clubhouse located in Hampton, South Carolina. This unique T-shaped structure, made of cypress logs and featuring a truss roof, serves as a meeting hall for the Hampton American Legion Post 108 and hosts various civic and social events. Constructed by local workers with support from the Reconstruction Finance Corporation during the Great Depression, it was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers.
