Laurel Meadow (Richmond, Virginia)

Laurel Meadow is a historic house located at 1640 Bramwell Road in Richmond, Virginia, with origins dating back to before 1776. Originally acquired by David Patteson, a notable figure in the Revolutionary War and Virginia politics, the house features an L-shaped design with three distinct sections. The oldest part, the Northwest wing, served various functions over the years, including a library and sitting room. The house underwent significant renovations in the early 19th century, adopting a Federal style. As one of the few remaining colonial-era homes in the Richmond area, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history.
