Edwards and Chapman Building

Designed by architect Francis Drummond Greville Stanley, this Victorian-era structure features ornate Italianate detailing and was originally home to a successful drapery store established by Richard Edwards and James Chapman. The building showcases significant architectural elements, including high ceilings, large oval openings for ventilation, and a hydraulic lift. It has undergone various alterations over the years but retains its historical charm, contributing to the streetscape of Queen Street.
