Boydville is a historic late Georgian mansion located in Martinsburg, West Virginia, built in 1812 by Elisha Boyd, a notable figure in the War of 1812 and Virginia politics. The mansion features a unique architectural design with original woodwork and hand-carved details imported from England. It has a rich history, including its preservation during the Civil War thanks to Mary Faulkner's intervention with President Abraham Lincoln. The estate is part of a 15.35-acre historic district and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
