Casa de las Trece Monedas

The Casa de las Trece Monedas is a historic building located in the Barrios Altos neighborhood of Lima, Peru, showcasing exquisite French Rococo architecture from the 18th century. Originally owned by the López-Flores family, it derives its name from the thirteen coins depicted in their coat of arms. Since 2009, it has served as the National Afro-Peruvian Museum, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Afro-Peruvians. The building was declared a Cultural Heritage of Peru in 1972, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in the history and culture of the region.
