Oak Hill Cemetery - 19th-Century Gothic Revival Cemetery

Oak Hill Cemetery was established in 1849 as a 19th-century rural/garden cemetery and contains numerous historic funerary monuments and landscaped grounds. The cemetery includes a Gothic Revival chapel attributed to architect James Renwick Jr. and is documented for its mid-19th-century funerary art and architecture. Oak Hill is recognized in local historic surveys and remains an active historic burial ground in northwest Washington.
