Washington National Cathedral – Space Window and presidential services

The Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul (Washington National Cathedral) is the Episcopal cathedral of the Diocese of Washington. Construction began in 1907 and continued in phases across much of the 20th century, with major elements completed by 1990. The cathedral houses a famous 'Space Window' that includes a small lunar rock fragment gifted by the Apollo 11 astronauts. It has hosted national memorial services and funerals for U.S. leaders, including services for Presidents such as Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, and Gerald Ford.
