Emerson–Franklin Poole House

The Emerson–Franklin Poole House, located at 23 Salem Street in Wakefield, Massachusetts, is a historic house built around 1795. It was once the home of Franklin Poole, a notable landscape artist known for his depictions of significant scenes in Wakefield during the mid-19th century. The house features murals by the itinerant artist Rufus Porter and is a fine example of Federal period architecture. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, this well-preserved structure offers a glimpse into the artistic heritage of the region and is situated in a charming residential area northeast of downtown Wakefield.
